Audition registration is OPEN for our high-energy summer musical theater production of Legally Blonde Jr. – the fun, empowering show that celebrates self-confidence, friendship, discovering your inner strength, and proving you belong wherever you set your sights!

🎭 Casting Information

We are casting performers ages 10–17 for our summer production of Legally Blonde Jr. All roles include singing, and we are looking for enthusiastic young performers who enjoy singing, acting, and working as part of an ensemble.

​

Depending on cast size, some performers may be assigned multiple roles, so versatility, creativity, and teamwork are important. As long as they can sing the required vocal part, actors of any identity, body type, and ability are encouraged to audition for any role. Our goal is to create an inclusive, supportive environment where every student can grow and shine. Double casting for leads will be considered.

What to Expect:

• Rigorous but rewarding rehearsals: Daily, focused sessions (Mon–Fri in June 2026) blending professional-level training in vocals, acting, dance/movement, and ensemble work—with plenty of laughs, creativity, and team spirit along the way.

• Real growth & spotlight: Build skills, boost confidence, make lasting friendships, and perform in multiple public shows for family, friends, and the Carbondale community.

• Key to success: Strong commitment, positive attitude, teamwork, and reliability—we're looking for performers who show up ready to give their all and support each other!

🎤 Rehearsals: Monday - Friday 9AM - 2PM beginning Thursday, June 11

​

✨ Performances:

       * Friday, June 26th @ 7PM

       * Saturday, June 27th @ 2PM & 7PM

       * Sunday , June 28th @ 2PM

​

🎭 Program Fee: $325 – Everything You Need to Shine! Your spot covers expert instruction, licensing/production materials, costumes/props, multiple public performances, and an empowering summer full of growth and stage magic—no hidden costs!

​

📍All auditions, performances and rehearsals will be held at The Greater Carbondale Chamber of Commerce: 27 N. Main St, Carbondale, PA 18407

❤️🌟🤝 We believe everyone deserves the chance to shine on stage. Limited scholarships are available for families facing financial need to help cover the $325 program fee. Assistance is offered on a first-come, first-served basis and kept confidential. 🎤 Prepare 45–60 seconds of a song that shows your voice and personality at their best.
The song does not have to be from Legally Blonde Jr. Choose something you feel confident singing!

Please email your audition track and start/end time at least two days before your scheduled audition.
Example: "Track start 1:20 – end 2:00"

(Please make sure there are no background vocals.)

✨ Feeling nervous? That’s totally normal! Auditions are meant to be supportive and encouraging — we’re excited to see you shine!

🎬 Virtual Auditions (If You Cannot Attend in Person)
In-person auditions are strongly encouraged and allow us to work with performers more fully. However, if you are unable to attend the audition dates, virtual submissions will be accepted.

Please complete the audition registration form and submit your audition video by Sunday, April 19, by 8PM to electriccityvoicestudio@gmail.com. 

Your video should include:

• A short musical theatre selection (about 1 minute)

• Your name and age at the beginning of the video

🎭 Callbacks

 

📅 Monday, April 27 (7PM-9PM)

​

Some students may be invited to attend a callback for specific roles. Callbacks allow the creative team to see certain performers read scenes, sing additional material, and work together before final casting decisions are made.

​

📖 Students may be asked to read selected scenes from the script.
🎤Additional short vocal selections may be assigned for specific roles.
💃 If needed, a brief movement or dance combination may be included.

​

Not receiving a callback does not mean a student will not be cast. Many roles are cast directly from initial auditions.

​

Callback invitations will be sent by email with specific times and materials.

​
