Noted for her “pure, sweet-sounding soprano,” Samantha Guevrekian is a well-versed artist in opera and musical theater repertoire, having performance experience with companies including The Glimmerglass Festival, Syracuse Opera, Ash Lawn Opera, Opera New Jersey, Opera on the Avalon, and most recently, The Metropolitan Opera, where she was member of the full-time chorus under the direction of Maestro Donald Palumbo.
Samantha has received numerous awards from many prestigious organizations including the Metropolitan Opera National Council Competition, The Gerda Lissner International Voice Competition, The Giulio Gari Competition, Jenny Lind Competition, the Elaine Malbin Competition, the Marcella Sembrich Competition, and Career Bridges.
She is an accomplished professional singer who has turned her passion for music into teaching. Samantha maintains a popular voice studio in Scranton, PA and is currently the Music Director for St. John Vianney Parish in Scott, PA. In addition to her performance and teaching experience, Samantha holds a Bachelor of Music degree from Northwestern University in Vocal Performance & Music Business, and a Master of Music degree from Stony Brook University in Vocal Performance.
